“I’m a Seattle native who spent enough time away in the ‘70s to realize I missed the water and needed to come back home. I founded People For Puget Sound in 1991 and it’s a privilege to have a job that is also what I most wanted to do with my life. My favorite place in the Sound is wherever I am. In the middle of a super-pod of the Southern Resident Orcas, wading amongst hundreds of mating kelp crabs during a winter moonlight beach walk, jumping in to cool off on a hot day, watching the sunset from a ferry, walking along the beach when it's raining, watching busy diving birds...shall I go on?”
