Diagonal Marsh, also known as Terminal 108, is a 1.2 acre parcel with 700 feet of shoreline and 0.25 acre marsh located at the end of Diagonal Avenue, just off East Marginal Way. It was restored to wetland habitat in 1988 as mitigation for the construction of marine Terminal 30 in East Waterway.
The former street-end trash dump was excavated and the surrounding land was made into a public shoreline access park with walkways, lawn, and a small-craft boat launch. A buffer along the shoreline was planted with native plants and a boom was placed at the mouth of the inlet. Goose exclusion fencing was constructed in September 2004 around 0.1 acre of the marsh in response to the failure of the initial plantings.
