May 17- Volunteer work party to remove invasive plants and help native plants
Help Save Native Plants at Picnic Point
People For Puget Sound and Snohomish County Surface Water Management are asking for volunteers to rip out invasive ivy at Picnic Point Park.
The park has a serious ivy problem. Stewards will be on hand to teach about the native plants that need protection from invasive ivy and the important habitat values the little jewel of a park brings to Puget Sound.
Tools, water and snacks are provided. Bring a sack lunch, refillable water bottles, and an enthusiasm for ripping out invasive weeds. Dress for the weather and wear sturdy shoes or work boots.
Please register in advance by contacting Amy Johnson at 425-388-3464 x4573.
