Save Our Sound “S.O.S.” Campaigner

Scheduled commitment volunteer for SOS Campaign

Do you have good telephone skills, writing ability, data management skills, and media savvy?

We can put you to work!

We are looking for 2 summertime volunteers to:

1.) Engage Environmental Activists in our “S.O.S.” post card campaign.
As an “S.O.S.” Campaigner you will recruit activists who will each commit to getting 10-20 post cards signed and delivered. You will be responsible for recruiting, tracking and managing this process.  You will help us generate hundreds of post cards addressed to the Puget Sound Partnership to rally support for an Action Agenda which is strong, accountable, transparent and enforceable.

2.) Recruit Environmental Activists to attend the upcoming summer Puget Sound Partnership workshops.
The single most crucial element of the S.O.S endeavor is public participation. With the aim of making the development of the Agenda a truly participative and transparent process, the Puget Sound Partnership will hold a series of public workshops in July 2008.

The Puget Sound Partnership
The Puget Sound Partnership is a state agency responsible for developing and “Action Agenda” by December 1, 2008 that will put the Sound on the path to health by 2020. The Partnership will also compile the available science and information about the state of the Sound, coordinate the efforts that are currently being made by various organizations, coordinate available resources and finally, hold these implementers of the Action Agenda accountable for money spent and for results for the Sound.
