Introduction to passport activities

Welcome to the Puget Sound Passport!

Here are some fun activities to do. Learn about the Sound and its plants and animals. Make some noise and tell others about what a great place this is.

Know your place!
Puget Sound is one big watershed made up on smaller ones. Which small one do you live in

Pull a weed!
Invasive weeds crowd out native plants. Find out which weeds to whack, and ow to do it without spreading them around.

Spot a salmon!
Where are salmon swimming? Find sslmon viewing locations near you!

Read a label!
What's that in your air freshener? Laundry detergent? Garden fertilizer? Read the label, and do a web search for the ingredients you don't recognize. Then tell us what you found out!

Rock the boat!
Tell someone how much you love Puget Sound, what your favorite spot is, and your favorite critter here. Write to your teacher, your mom, your senator, your uncle, the president-whomever you want! And send the message to People For Puget Sound for everyone to see and read.

Hit the beach!
Check out our beach guide to see whom you might meet there, and how to visit without hurting them. Then find you nearest beach!

Plant a tree!
Native plants are easy to take care of and attract native wildlife to your yard or garden! What are native plants, and how can you plant them?
