RESTORE THE SOUND
Opportunities abound for adults, students and families to get outside and work to bring the Sound back to health.
Looking For Something to Do This Weekend? Or Meeting a School Requirement? How About a Longer-Term Opportunity to Be a Sound Steward? Get out. Get dirty. Weed, plant, care for the shoreline. Feel good.
Sound Stewardship
Become a trained steward by learning restoration ecology and monitoring methods then volunteering to take care of shoreline restoration sites that make the Sound a healthier place
MudUp!
How muddy do you want to get doing something for the Sound? A little muddy by going on a beachwalk or calling your legislator? Very muddy by weeding and planting shoreline vegetation. It's up to you. The most important thing is to DO SOMETHING.
Citizen Science
It used to be called 'citizen monitoring' but really it's good science by trained citizens helping public agencies keep track of changes in the Puget Sound ecosystem. A great way to learn, a great way to teach, a great way to get out and do some good.
Volunteering
Weekend weed warrior? A keen eye for reading over policies and regulations? A quick hand and quicker tongue for envelope stuffing and licking? You can do your part for a healthier Sound by doing what you can, when you can.
