"I grew up in eastern Washington and first came to Puget Sound to finish my education. When I moved to Chicago, folks asked me why I had left a beautiful place like Seattle, 'heaven,' as they called it.  So, after many years and adventures around the world, I returned to this heavenly place to work to restore and protect Puget Sound. My job is fundraising and I love doing it for the generations to come who will look out at these vistas and breathe deeply of this marine air and think, 'This place is beautiful and I am grateful for those who worked to protect it.'  I've been here since September 2007 and I'm continually amazed and impressed by the hard working staff and leadership and generosity of the membership."
